Honey-Mustard Salad Dressing

As promised, here is another tantalizing salad dressing for the healthy-minded eater!

Unfortunately most salad dressings available in stores have a plethora of added ingredients that are no bueno for one’s health or waistline. Added sugars, preservatives, and refined oils mean that no only are commonly consumed dressings poor food-combining wise, but they are acid-forming, and toxic.

But it’s so easy to make your own at home, therefore I’ve dedicated these next few posts to sharing a few more delicious salad dressings, perfect for dressing your vegetables and greens.

Honey-Mustard Dressing

Preparation Time: 5 – 10 Minutes

Serving Size: 2

1/4 Cup Stone-ground Mustard

2-3 Tbsp of Local, Raw Honey

2-3 Fresh Limes, juiced

pinch of Himalayan salt

1 clove of Garlic

*Optional: 1/8 cup of Basil (makes it green, but sooo yummy!)

1) In a high-speed blender, combine all ingredients until smooth and creamy.

2) Pour over a bed of greens that is piled high with spiralized beets, cucumber, shredded carrots, diced avocado, and some pumpkin seeds.

3) Enjoy the food that loves you back! <3
