Raw Chlorella/Spirulina Tablets

It cannot be understated how freaking MUCH I love Spirulina.

Courtney Pool from Radical Radiance is an acquaintance I met at the Tree of Life in Arizona, and following her blog around, it’s hard NOT to fall in love with this blue-green algae.

The kind I totally love is Chlorella Spirulina Tablets by Ultimate Superfoods.

A few other friends who are chefs at the tree told me they taste ‘cheesy’ and, yes, they kind of do.

To any normal standard american eating person, they probably taste like grass. But hey, our taste buds must be evolved or something.

I love taking them with me to work and chompin on ’em through the day because they’re so filling. Beware, though. Don’t smile at anyone afterwards or they’ll think you ate the hulk.

Anyways – if there’s something I would recommend to everyone to eat every day, it would be this product right here.

Why is it so beneficial?

Spirulina algae is higher in protein than any other food source with a protein content of 60-70 percent higher than any other natural food and most nutritional products.

Unlike other forms of protein, too, the protein in Spirulina is 85-95% digestible…one of the highest available! It’s only second to dried egg supplement regarding usable protein. But seriously, this is way better.

Even better, it has amazing nutritional value, as it’s high in concentration of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients like essential fatty acids, GLA fatty acids, lipids, nucleic acids (RNA and DNA for you guys), B complex, Vitamin C and E, and phytochemicals such as carotenoids, chlorophyll, and phycocyanin = which is a protein that is known to inhibit cancer.

Of course there are a lot of different types of algae, but Spirulina has been singled out mainly for its nutritional properties.

Want more energy? More nutritional insurance? Weight control and Cleansing? Yeah… It’s that awesome.

Like my mom said, if there was an end-of-the-world apocalypse happening, this is what you would want to stock up on. That, and water, and sprouts… 😀

I’ll stop going on and on about how great it is now… but for sure if you’ve been wanting to try it out, then why not?

I’m certainly a fan of this product.
