I love juice. I also love coffee, and ginormous salads, and coconut…oh – and avocadoes! Those foods pretty much make up my diet, therefore when I come across a pretty stellar juice recipe, I just have to share it.
I’m lucky living in Costa Rica where it’s very easy to find fresh-pressed juice at almost any little café. Even alongside the road, an orange or carrot juice is just normal. I wish everywhere deemed that normal. The only thing that would make it better would be if I could get green juices everywhere as well. (Someday…)
But to the point! I decided to use up some ingredients before our weekly food haul today, and found myself staring at the lovely ingredients of celery, cucumber, carrots, and apple. I took a little stroll down to our incredible greenhouse, picked some vibrant leaves of Kale, and moseyed back up to the dining hall to prepare this beauty.
I call it “Refreshing Shine” juice because it’s so hydrating, you can’t help but be refreshed. And when you flood your cells with this much nutrition and love, you’ll start glowing from the inside out. This juice is abundant in Vitamin A, C, some E, beauty-enhancing minerals, and cholesterol-reducing phytonutrients. Drink up and bloom for life!
Refreshing Shine Juice
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Serving Size: 2 (Share it with your hunny!)
5 Stalks of Celery
1/2 Lime, juiced
4 Stalks of Kale
1/8 Cup Herb (Mint is great!)
1) Either in a high-speed blender and strained (using a nut-mylk bag), or in a juicer, press all ingredients through and consume within 10 minutes. Um. Yum!
**Bummer, dude!! I broke my SLR Nikon camera lens, so have to wait until I go back to the States or fate intervenes before I can take many more loverly pictures.**
